Journey To Kuala Pilah V2.0

Sinar Harian's community programme in Kuala Pilah. It was really tiring when you have to drive from one location to several other locations all within a space of about eight hours. The fact that the weather was hot also contributed much to the tiredness. But overall it was a worthwhile experience as it was the first time I visited Kuala Pilah.

The programme started at Kampung Mampas Kecil where a gotong-royong was held. The breakfast served here further strengthened my belief that Kuala Pilah is the perfect to visit if you are looking for something spicy to eat. The sambal served with nasi lemak during breakfast was certainly one of the best I had had for quite some time. It was certainly spicy..or too spicy for some.

One of the most memorable moment in Kuala Pilah was the outing at a paddy field. Not only was it an outing at the paddy field, there was also a fishing competition when competitors had to fish for some small-looking fish from the paddy field. It was a first experience for me. Although I have to admit that it was really really tough trying to catch something as small as that. In the end, I did not even manage to catch anything. Sigh.

This was where the programme started...at Ladang Alam Warisan. A perfect place for those who love outing in the wild. Also an opportunity for Dhamia to get up close and personal with a type of deer...frankly, I do not even know the difference between one and another. They certainly look the same to me...and smell the same too.

Then it's off to a nearby kampung for dodol making. Not really my cup of tea. The entire process of cooking the coconut milk mixed with sugar, gula melaka and others certainly looked to be quite a daunting task. I will stick to dodol durian thanks.

Journey To Kuala Pilah

A little fooling around while on the way to Kuala Pilah for a company's function there. Should be an interesting outing as this would be the first time I am going over to Kuala Pilah although the place is not really that far away from Melaka. Looks like Dhamia is all dressed up for the occasion.

For her, the mere thought of going out for a ride was certainly fun. Although she can be quite a handful in the car.

Rossi-Wannabe

Valentino Rossi wannabe. Well, maybe in 16 or 17 years time. But as the saying goes, always start them young. So this can be considered as the right time to let her familiarise herself with a big bike like this one. And who knows, she might even become a top MotoGP star one of these days.

Restraining Order

How about a little pose while waiting for lunch to arrive...? Must really be boring to be sitting in that baby chair without having the opportunity to go anywhere. But at least that will restrain her for awhile. Even where this girl is concern, the baby chair will not keep her quiet as she will only sit there for a short moment before she start getting restless.

Dhamia And The Bear

Dhamia meets the A&W bear. The bear was actually on the counter and I have to place Dhamia on the counter in order for me to snap this photo. Looks like the burger was really tempting her.

This is really an iconic mascot for A&W. For as long as I can remember, this bear has always been the restaurant's mascot. Infact since my schooling days to be precise. Of course there is the life-size bear which only makes its appearance during special occasions.

Car Pose

Where Dhamia is concern, any place is a good place to have her photos taken. This include in the car while waiting for the traffic light to change. As with any other kids, it is never easy snapping her photos. But once in awhile she can really be cooperative when her photos are being taken.

Hair Day

Posing time yet again. So how do you like my hair...? She certainly look cute with her hair tied like that. Love it.
