Happy Birthday Dhamia

Happy birthday my girl. Dhamia turns one-year-old today. Wow. How time flies. It really felt like it was only yesterday when I had to rush my wife to the hospital. I guess before I know it she would already be ready for school. Time certainly flies too soon.

My dear Dhamia. Here's wishing you a very Happy Birthday and hoping that you will achieve everything you will set out to achieve in life. Just remember that I love you very very much.

Plane Spotting

This was the first time we visited Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) in Sepang after the MH370 incident. So in a way, this visit could be considered as a tribute to all those onboard the ill-fated MAS flight from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing.

From the look of things, nothing seemed to be out of the ordinary despite what had happened. KLIA was still a busy and packed airport, the way we always remembered it. On the surface everything certainly looked nothing out of the ordinary.

The main reason we visited the airport was to give Dhamia the opportunity to view the planes from up close (well, from the viewing gallery at least). I remembered how fun it was for me when I was young and therefore, she might even enjoy it...provided of course she understands everything.

The airport is certainly a good place for plane spotting although these photos were nowhere near those taken by others during a plane's approach or taking off. That would have been quite an awesome sight. But then, better these than nothing at all. There is certainly something captivating about planes.

It was just a short visit with nothing much happening. But it was worthwhile as little Dhamia got her first view of planes. And as for me, I got the opportunity to snap away.

My Ride And I

Not knowing how she'll react to it, we decided to let Dhamia have a ride on this ride. Surprisingly she seemed to be enjoying herself, laughing and smiling all along. How a simple thing like this can make a child so happy. How I wish we as adults can also see the pleasures in the simplest of things.

Bet there will be more rides like this for Dhamia. Time is certainly on her side to enjoy all the pleasures in life.

Treasure Hunt

Truly a tiring day as we took part in a treasure hunt organised by Mosac's alumni. The entire family tagged along, including Dhamia. So you can safely say that this was to be her very first treasure hunt.

Of course she had it the easiest as she only had to sit on her mother's lap, feed when hungry and sleep when sleepy. How easy can that be?

It was certainly a long day as the entire hunt took us from Ayer Keroh to Banda Hilir-Klebang-Paya Rumput-Alor Gajah-Taboh Naning-Merlimau-Sungai Rambai-Asahan-Bukit Katil-Ayer Keroh. You can safely say that we have covered the entire state within one day. And Dhamia? She slept throughout most of it.

Dhamia And The Bear

Pacific Coffee at Dataran Pahlawan is one of Dhamia's favourite haunt...all because of the giant teddy bear. She got so excited when she saw the bear even though the bear was several sizes bigger than her. Of course that did not really matter to her.

Just wondering how many kids her age will have that courage to touch the bear. Won't be surprised if there are those who will scream their lungs out at the mere sight of the bear.

My First Step

Taking her first step...Dhamia has learnt to take her first few steps although she has yet to get the hang of things. While initially she had to rely on the sofa for support, she can now take a few steps on her own, albeit just a few small steps. You can say that she is still in the learning process and it won't be long before she starts walking all over the place. Even as it is, she is already difficult to contain as she likes to move all over the place.

Life is about learning and learning to walk is certainly on of the things that she can learn. Putting my money on the fact that she will be able to walk more freely by the end of the month.
