Shopping Time

One effective way to keep Dhamia quiet when shopping...put her inside the shopping trolley. She seemed to be enjoying herself on her first ride on the shopping trolley. At least by putting her inside the trolley, that will keep our hands free to do more shopping. It can really be tiring carrying her all over the shopping centre. Include the shopping bags and that would have been quite a task.

PD Waterfront

A little pose from Dhamia while waiting for our food to arrive. On our way back to Melaka when we stopped over at PD Waterfront to have lunch. This place looks nice with all its new buildings and many well known outlets. I am truly impressed.

Seaside is still one of the best places for photographs even if there is nothing beautiful in the background. That is one thing about me. I simply love to take photos by the beach.

Port Dickson

Welcome to Port Dickson. This was Dhamia's first visit to Port Dickson. It was not a long holiday really. Just a short getaway for the weekend. This is one of the things that I love to do on weekends. Love spending weekends in Port Dickson just doing nothing other than sleep and relax. And of course, what more can you do when you are in Port Dickson other than spend your time either by the beach or in the swimming pool. While it can be refreshing spending time in the pool, it can also send shivers down your spine especially when the weather is cold like the time we were in Port Dickson.

Dhamia seemed to be enjoying herself in the pool although it was only a short dip in the pool as it was rather cold at that time. But it was a good introduction to a swimming pool. Of course Wawa had to hold her all the time. Just wait until she is a few years old. I am seriously thinking of sending her to a swimming class by then. She can then be a mermaid...:D

Year Of The Horse

It's time for Chinese New Year celebration again. This time around it is the year of the horse and true to the nature of a horse, there will be a lot of horsing around this time around. Like any other festivity, Chinese New Year is one time of the year where practically all shopping centres will have their special festivity decoration to commemorate the event. Chinese New Year is no different.

You just need to walk into any shopping centre, be it a large shopping centre or not so large, and you will find all sorts of beautiful decorations all around. However, after having seen Chinese New Year decorations in the past, you have seen it all. There is not much difference from the decorations used in the previous years.

As the Chinese are so obsessed with money and prosperity, you are most likely to see decoration depicting gold, money and things along that line. Come to think of it, these decorations are so predictable that you can already guess what kind of decorations they will use even before you set your eyes on those decorations.

As for Dataran Pahlawan, these two bears (below) looks familiar. It did not take long for me to realise that these are the bears used for the Christmas decorations. You just need to change the bears' costume to make them look like they are celebrating Chinese New Year and voila...you have a new decoration for Chinese New Year. Out of idea or being cheap...?

New Hat

Dhamia testing out the new hat (or whatever you call it) which Gee bought from Auntie Rozie. The hat looked kind of big for her head though. On second thought, Dhamia looked like a Mongolian kid wearing that hat...hahaha. Especially so with her fair complexion. She can pass herself off as a Mongolian kid with ease.

Shoes Tasting

This is one of Dhamia's latest hobbies...sinking her teeth into anything she can get her hands on, even if it was her shoes. Just wonder how the shoe tastes like? I guess it's better for her to bite the shoes rather than biting me.

By The Seaside

These were taken during an evening walk along the beach near my home. Great place to spend the evening enjoying the evening breeze and watching the setting sun. However, for Dhamia, I do no think she understood the significance of it all. To her it was just an outing out from the house. Maybe when she gets a bit older she will understand the fun of it all.

Take a closer look at the photo below and note the teeth. It will be long before she has a full set of teeth in her mouth. Then she will really be into biting anything she can get her hands on.

Swinging Good Time

After lunch, Wawa decided to take Dhamia for a ride on the swing. Actually it was more for photography purposes than to enjoy a couple of rounds on the swing. Just a brief introduction for Dhamia to the swing...something which she will undoubtedly be yearning for once she starts walking and running. And it will be a regular trip to the playground by then.

Surprise

Why that surprise look Dhamia? I guess she must be wondering how to get rid of this guy with camera who seems to pop up each time she was about to have some fun.

I Am Standing

Easy does it. Dhamia learning to stand. Although she had use the sofa for support, she nevertheless managed to stand for a short period of time. She did not seem to give up even when she failed to stand. She tried again and again before she finally stood, thanks to the sofa for support.

I guess it won't be long before she will be standing without any support. If at first you do not succeed, keep on trying and you will finally get it right.

Sleeping Child

Perhaps one of the best time to photograph a baby is when she is asleep. This is because I feel that this is the time that they really look cute and innocent...as though there is no cares in the world for them. Another reason is that when they are asleep, they are immobilized thus making the task of photographing them even more easier. This is especially so if the baby is a hyperactive type like Dhamia who can hardly sit quietly.

At least when they are asleep, you have all the time in the world to decide on what angle to go for. But for those light sleepers, make sure you do not make any noise as even the slightest noise will wake them up. Then you will have to wait for them to fall asleep again.

Posing Girl

The girl is at it again. Doing what she does best...posing. And as usual, the best place to pose is in the car. Something to do just to keep her quiet. Looking at these faces can really make one's heart melt. Such a cute and sweet looking girl. Keep on posing girl.

Dinner Time

Dinner time. This is one of Dhamia's favourite...nestum. She is the only who loves it as I do not find the smell of the thing interesting. This can be considered as a two-in-one activity. Having her dinner and at the same time, roaming all over the place in her walker.

As always, keeping up with her can be quite a daunting task now that she can really move quite fast. Even when she is in the walker, we still have to keep a close eye on her as she is now very fond of grabbing things within her hand's reach especially things on the table.
