It's time for Chinese New Year celebration again. This time around it is the year of the horse and true to the nature of a horse, there will be a lot of horsing around this time around. Like any other festivity, Chinese New Year is one time of the year where practically all shopping centres will have their special festivity decoration to commemorate the event. Chinese New Year is no different.
You just need to walk into any shopping centre, be it a large shopping centre or not so large, and you will find all sorts of beautiful decorations all around. However, after having seen Chinese New Year decorations in the past, you have seen it all. There is not much difference from the decorations used in the previous years.
As the Chinese are so obsessed with money and prosperity, you are most likely to see decoration depicting gold, money and things along that line. Come to think of it, these decorations are so predictable that you can already guess what kind of decorations they will use even before you set your eyes on those decorations.
As for Dataran Pahlawan, these two bears (below) looks familiar. It did not take long for me to realise that these are the bears used for the Christmas decorations. You just need to change the bears' costume to make them look like they are celebrating Chinese New Year and voila...you have a new decoration for Chinese New Year. Out of idea or being cheap...?
